William T. (Bill) Potter is the owner of Potter McKinney, Inc. His interest in property management as a career began when he was an on- site property manager for a 474 unit apartment complex in Woodland Hills, California in 1976. He was promoted to the general manager of the complex and remained until 1983. From 1983 to 1990, he was recruited by a several property management firms in the Los Angeles area, as Director of Property Management overseeing office and shopping center properties in addition to residential units. In 1990, Mr. Potter accepted a position in Bakersfield, California, as the Manager of Southern California Region for state-wide property management firm. Mr. Potter has earned the confidence of both institutional and private real estate investors and is committed to enhancing of the value of the properties entrusted to him for management by fostering positive business relationships with our clients, tenants, vendors and contractors who service the properties managed by Potter McKinney, Inc.
Mr. Potter is licensed by the California Department of Real Estate as a Salesperson. He is a veteran of the Viet Nam War where he served in the United States Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer. While in the Navy, Mr. Potter was awarded Top Secret Clearance as a Communication Technician. He continues to be actively involved in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and has served as Commander and Quartermaster of VFW Post #97. DRE #01098629
