She grew up on a small walnut farm in South Sutter County and feels blessed to be able to work here locally and have the love and support of her husband and daughter. Valerie and her husband Mark are committed to raising their daughter, Scarlett, as their parents raised them – to appreciate and participate in the local community. They support and are involved in many local organizations including the Cowgirl Soirée and Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau.
