As President and CEO, Tyndall Yaap is responsible for all firm policies and procedures, day-to-day operations, development and transactions. He also oversees all institutional capital raising activities, joint ventures and structuring commingled funds.
Prior to co-founding IDV, Tyndall, as Managing Director of the Industrial Division of Capital Commercial Investments, Inc. from 2007 through 2012, was directly responsible for developing over one million square feet of light industrial buildings (27 facilities) and 400 acres (14 locations) into industrial/business parks. During these five years, two of which were “The Great Recession”, the total development value was ~$143 million and total transaction volume over $310 million.
From 1997 to 2007 Tyndall worked as an industrial real estate broker at Grubb & Ellis. His focus was on transactional and advisory assignments for corporate, institutional, and developer clients. During these ten years, Tyndall gained extensive experience working with landlords and tenants, which has provided him with unique insight into each party’s motivations. While at Grubb & Ellis, Tyndall leased, sold or developed over 20 million square feet in excess of $500 million in transactions.
Tyndall’s experience and insight has developed him into a highly skilled real estate investor, developer and negotiator. He is recognized as a leading expert in Houston’s industrial real estate market.
During 2002 through 2006 Tyndall served as an officer of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Houston Chapter and as President during 2007.
Tyndall graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Development.
