Tyler Oliver has spent over 20 years in the commercial real estate world, focusing on retail real estate, developing, purchasing, and leasing retail shopping centers. After completing his Marketing degree at Kansas State University, Tyler began his career with Dennis J. Eskie and Associates, a Kmart developer based in Kansas City. There, Tyler worked in site selection and land assemblage for various Kmart developments throughout the United States. Tyler spent several years at Dennis J. Eskie and Associates leasing retail projects and representing retail tenants throughout Kansas City. In 1995, Tyler relocated to Washington, D.C. and joined The Mills Corporation. He joined the leasing department at The Mills and was assigned to work on the new and existing super-regional mall projects in Florida, Texas, Virginia and Illinois. In 1997 at the age of 29, Tyler along with Douglas Henzlik, formed Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies, LLC. The early years of Henzlik-Oliver, Tyler focused on representing national retailers with their site selection in Kansas City. Retailers such as Home Depot, Just for Feet, Orscheln Farm & Home, and others have been clients. Tyler founded Colby Capital, LLC in 2014. He continues to purchase and manage properties both in the Kansas City-metro and throughout the country. Colby Capital, LLC is a preferred developer for Dollar General. We've developed 100 stores in Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota, and have recently expanded into North Dakota. Tyler also focuses on acquiring, developing and redeveloping shopping centers throughout the United States. Tyler has had ownership in over 37 retail projects in nine states.
