Bio
A native of Mobile and graduate of the University of South Alabama's Mitchell College of Business, Troy serves as Bellator's President & CEO with more than 22 years of real estate experience. Troy and Nathan Cox partnered in Bellator Real Estate & Development in 2011.
Troy's real estate career began in 1997 handling new construction sales at Mitchell Homes, where he became the regional manager and qualifying broker for its single-family division at age 24. Starting in his fourth year at Mitchell, Troy managed the sales and construction starts of over 900 residential homes. He also performed land selection with site acquisition for nine new subdivisions developments while working at Mitchell. In 2005, Troy co-founded land development company Royale Development and property management company Baleu Realty Management. In 2007, he also started and co-owned a residential home building company called St. Joe Custom Homes in Mobile. The following year, Troy founded ERA Platinum Properties, which would merge with Bellator in 2011. During his time with the ERA Franchise Systems, he was recognized as #40 in Lore Magazine's Top 200 Real Estate Professionals of the Year. In 2013, Troy was recognized as one of Mobile Bay Magazine's 40 under 40.
An active member of the community, Troy served as the 2018 president of the Baldwin County Association of REALTORS®. He has served on the association's Board of Directors since 2015, as well as on the finance committee and as chair of the executive committee. In 2015, Troy participated in the inaugural Real Men Wear Pink campaign for the American Cancer Society, raising $135,321 to fight cancer in South Alabama and was honored to be a member of the top team in the country for total funds raised.
Troy is proud to be married to his beautiful wife, Kristin, since 1995 and is the proud father of his two daughters MacKenzie and Addeline, who are attending college. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, boating, hunting and fishing, as well as competing in endurance triathlon events. He completed his first full Ironman 140.6 in September 2017 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
