Tom Cone was recruited by the Olive Real Estate Group in 1984 to assist in the marketing, leasing and sale of Olive Company properties, as well as the brokerage and development of third party pro-jects. Tom’s experience as a real estate generalist and success in different facets of the business is unparalleled in this marketplace. He has personally been involved with and completed over $150 million in transactions during his twenty plus years in the business.
Tom successfully orchestrated the first major local development project in the 1990s with the opening of the 165,000 square foot Union Medical Campus. He worked extensively with physicians and other medical service providers to develop their interest in a medical campus project. He coordinated the development process with regard to acquiring the land, rezoning, designing, building, leasing, and financing.
In the retail arena, Tom has been involved with the acquisition of land and development of Albertson’s anchored shopping centers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
He is currently involved with the University Village Project. A redevelopment of 80 acres in North Central Colorado Springs for 650,000 square foot retail project anchored by Costco and Lowe’s.
In other areas, Tom has been part of the acquisition, development and marketing team for Peakview Business Campus, a 150-acre mixed use business project in Pueblo. High-lighted by the completion of the 148 unit Villas at Park West Apartment Complex, which is starting the 112 units Phase II portion of the project.
Tom is actively involved in the Colorado Springs community with organizations such as the YMCA, Ronald McDonald House, National Sports Center for the Disabled, and Junior Achievement. His other interests include golf, fishing, and hunting.
