Bio
Tom Colhoun has been a resident of Apex since 1986 and has devoted his professional career both to building a successful business and serving the community. Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Tom graduated from NC State University with a BA in 1986. He then went to work for Apex Lumber Company under the guidance of his father-in-law, Bill Booth. When the company closed in 2000, Tom went to work as an Independent Agent for Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate. In 2005, he decided to start his own real estate business and Colhoun Real Estate, LLC was formed.
Since the formation of Colhoun Real Estate, Tom has worked independently for several developers, contractors, land owners, and investors in leasing, buying, selling, and investing throughout The Triangle. Through helping clients with their real estate needs, Tom created solid relationships with countless business leaders, developers, local government staff, and elected officials. He represented the Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) on the Town of Apex Planning and Zoning Board. Presently, Tom serves with the Apex Chamber of Commerce on the Government Issues Committee.
