Bio
Tim has accumulated over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry, operating primarily in the greater Los Angeles area. After earning his Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Southern California in 1985 (BA: Univ. Washington 1982), he embarked on a career that spans both real estate development and brokerage. Tim played a pivotal role in forming CBRE’s inaugural tenant representation group, where he exclusively represented companies like Barnes & Noble Books, Hollywood Video, and Boston Market. Throughout his career, Tim has showcased his expertise in sales, leasing, and master planning for both existing and new real estate developments. His portfolio includes extensive work with institutional landlords such as Safeway, Camden Living, M David Paul & Associates, Homart Development, and TIAA CREF. Notably, since 2004, he has exclusively represented Bristol Farms Markets in California. Tim has also dedicated eighteen years to representing drug store chains like Rite Aid, Longs, and Walgreens, with his current representation of Boudin SF Restaurants in Los Angeles County. Recognizing the importance of community involvement, Tim expanded his advisory practice to include municipal government clients. This move reflects his understanding of the crucial role retailing plays in communities, driving sales tax revenue and fostering local employment opportunities. Tim's commitment is further exemplified by his exclusive representation of the California Judicial Council for San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties. Before joining CBRE, Tim served as the Vice President of Acquisitions for Halferty Development Company (HDC) from 1998-2001, focusing on grocery and drug store developments in California’s central valley. This diverse and extensive background positions Tim as a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of various facets within the real estate industry.
