Thomas Hundelt joined Newmark in 2007 and currently serves as an Executive Managing Director in the company’s Global Corporate Services division. An internationally accomplished real estate, project, and asset manager, Tom has over 33 years of experience with an extensive background in executing projects globally. As head of Program and Project Management services, he oversees a global team of project managers that executes real estate solutions for clients on a daily basis. Tom is adept at reducing costs for projects, with a focus on operating costs, network rationalization, construction costs and procurement strategies. During his tenure with Newmark, Tom has executed projects for many multinational clients across a wide span of industries, including technology, education, healthcare, finance, and others. Among his projects was a merger of 150 global facilities into an existing company’s 450-property portfolio. Tom helped maximize the portfolio, utilizing optimum design techniques and co-location strategies where multiple properties were located in the same cities. Additional projects have included: a 50,000 SF facility in London; a 25,000 SF facility in Amsterdam; a 75,000 SF build-to-suit office/warehouse in Paris; over 150,000 SF of offices in India at multiple locations; multiple Asia Pacific projects; a 160,000 SF build-to-suit in Denver; and over 2 MSF of other projects in the U.S. Prior to joining Newmark, Tom had a 20-year career with United Parcel Service where he held multiple positions in multiple cities around the United States. Tom built many operating centers, offices, and airport operations for UPS. During the final years of his UPS career, he ran the international real estate division of the UPS Supply Chain Solutions growing the number of locations in the UPS portfolio from 5 to 1,500 across the globe.
