Thomas P. Hix is Vice President for Black Realty Management, Inc., an NAI Black company; and is a principal in the company. Hix is also President of Black Management Services, Inc., our engineering services company. Hix's role has included commercial property and facilities management, asset management, leasing, acquisition and disposition, REO management and receiverships, as well as consulting activities. Hix is an award-winning transactional producer and in 2001 he finished second in the top 15 volume producers with the Spokane Association of Realtors. Hix achieved the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 1988. He has served IREM in leadership roles at local, regional, and national levels, most notably in 2000, 2001, and 2002 when he served as Regional Vice President for IREM's six-state Region 12 and membership and chairmanship roles on IREM national committees and boards from 1988 through 2014, many of them related to governance and ethics. Hix has been active in the International Council of Shopping Centers as a regular participant in the annual Leasing Mall held in Las Vegas. Hix was active in downtown Spokane activities as a member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Spokane Ventures from 2000 to 2014. Ventures was a related entity of the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP). Hix also served on the Downtown Spokane BID board and was the chair in 2019.
