Ted Turner entered real estate professionally as a development services specialist after eighteen years in the real estate development business developing numerous residential sub-divisions throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. Prior to his real estate development experience, he spent seventeen years in the banking industry the majority of which were spent financing real estate projects. Ted also has public sector experience having served as mayor of Peculiar, Missouri.
Ted’s background and experience provides a broad foundation that helps his clients overcome the numerous obstacles associated with commercial real estate. Having spent years obtaining approvals from municipalities then serving on the opposite side of the desk as an elected official and having spent years as a lender then moving across the desk to the position of borrower gives Ted the unique experience of understanding all sides to a given transaction. His numerous years as a developer helps him to anticipate not only the upside of investments, but also the potential pit-falls.
Ted has always been a contributor to civic and community organizations. He has, as previously mentioned, served as mayor of Peculiar, Missouri, served on the Board of Adjustments for Peculiar, Missouri, served as a member of Lee’s Summit’s Twenty-first Century Strategic Planning Commission, chaired the Industrial Development Committee for the Chamber of Commerce in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, originated and chaired the Industrial Development Tour for Lee’s Summit, Missouri, served on Eastern Jackson County Coalition of Chambers and trustee for the County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund for Cass County, Missouri.
