Taylor Cohen has over six years of industry experience specializing in condo, co-op, and multifamily investment sales. Prior industry experience includes covering REITs at Merrill Lynch and managing his own real estate investment company. Before getting into real estate investing and becoming a sales agent, he spent seven years in finance on and off Wall Street working for some of the largest investment banks. As a former Senior Analyst on the investment management desk, Taylor was responsible for advising clients on how to trade their portfolios. He also worked in private equity real estate before starting his own firm.
His seasoned knowledge is a vital asset to clients who are seeking optimal reward – both financial and emotional – from the real estate purchase or sale experience. Taylor finds the search and seeing new properties to be exciting. He enjoys looking for gems, envisioning a property’s true potential, and drawing on his skills to help clients achieve their goals.
Taylor specializes in condominiums, co-ops, and rentals in downtown Manhattan, as well as investment properties and residential multifamily buildings in Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He owns investment properties in Brooklyn through his other company where he is the Principal. He began acquiring properties in 2009 and loved investing in real estate, which offers equity appreciation, tax benefits, and passive income, to name a few. He is very comfortable with the entire purchase/sale process from compiling a list of potential properties all the way through the closing. Taylor’s knowledge of the sales side as well as his contacts in all aspects of the industry add additional value to his client relationships.
A NYC native born in the Bronx, Taylor spent most of his childhood growing up in Bernardsville, NJ. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a double major in finance and marketing from Fairfield University in Connecticut. Prior to moving to NJ in 2021 with his wife and son, Taylor resided in NYC for nearly 14 years including TriBeCa and on the Upper East Side. His favorite activities besides real estate investing and sales are fly fishing and traveling.
