Susanne Newmark has served as Founder and President of Newmark Associates Inc. since 1987 – building a reputation over the last 30 years as one of the most respected and successful Commercial Real Estate providers and certified Woman-Owned Businesses in New Jersey. Repeatedly recognized in consecutive years as “Best of the Best” by a national commercial real estate analytics firm, Newmark has also been a recipient of other, prestigious awards, including the “Deal of the Year Award” and the “CoStar Power Broker Award” in numerous years.
Prior to the creation of Newmark Associates, Ms. Newmark obtained a Masters degree in Education and was affiliated with the Newark school system. Changing careers in the early 1980’s, Susanne became licensed as a commercial real estate salesperson and rose to become a top producer for a large, leading commercial real estate firm. Newmark soon recognized the need for a commercial real estate firm that would incorporate an entrepreneurial, creative approach rather than the corporate, bureaucratic model that had become prevalent in the ‘80s. In 1987 she launched Newmark Associates, Inc.
As President, Ms. Newmark oversees all organizational activities, including transaction management and implementation; strategic consulting and project planning; leasing and property management. Sought out by many companies for her creative approach to real estate transactions, Susanne has worked on such notable projects as the sale of 184,000 square feet of Macy’s retail space in Burlington County and the leasing of corporate headquarters for Drew Marine, a Lehman company.
Susanne attributes her success to the collaboration of the people in the firm and a longstanding reputation built on integrity and competence. She complements an extraordinary business profile with an equally admirable agenda of philanthropic pursuits.
In her spare time, Ms. Newmark enjoys travel, reading, boating and the company of friends and family.
