Susan has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 1981. She moved into commercial leasing and sales after 17 years with OmniOffices/Regus and within her first year at Newmark Knight Frank (formerly Grubb & Ellis) earned the National Rookie of the Year Award. After 22 years of representing both landlords and tenants, Susan moved to Kent Commercial, Inc., a boutique real estate firm specializing in Tenant Representation.
Susan brings a broad array of knowledge and experience that includes all aspects of a commercial real estate transaction starting with defining client needs, market overviews, space and building searches, proposals/letter of intent negotiations, lease review and vendor referrals. Susan’s involvement with her clients doesn’t end at move in and occupancy but continues through the lease term, always putting the clients’ needs first.
Susan’s list of clients includes government contractors, SCIF and 8(a) requirements, law firms, major corporations, associations, 501(c)3 charities, medical offices and sporting event companies in all types of spaces from office to warehouse to retail. Her strong client relationships have enabled her to successfully represent them all over the USA.
Susan is a licensed real estate agent in Virginia and in addition, holds an Executive Board position on the Northern Virginia National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP No VA). She also served on the Commercial Real Estate Brokers Association of Washington DC Board for eight years and mentors young brokers starting their commercial real estate careers.
While Susan is well known and respected within the Washington DC commercial real estate community, her activism and volunteer work with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation since 1995 and the American Cancer Society’s National Capital Golf Classic for prostate cancer along with other community projects has consistently earned her numerous top fundraising and community recognition awards for over twenty years along with the respect and support of her many colleagues.
