Susan Smith Lenamon is a lifelong resident of Pearland, Texas. She attended Pearland schools and upon receiving her BBA from Sam Houston State University, she returned to Pearland to serve the Pearland Independent School District as a teacher, principal, and director of communications. In addition to a degree in business administration, Lenamon has a Master of Science degree, a doctorate in educational leadership and has certifications as a public school administrator and public school superintendent.
After 25 years of service, Dr. Lenamon retired from PISD. Not one to be idle, Lenamon passed the Texas real estate sales exam in 2002 and became a broker in 2005. Dr. Lenamon and her father became partners in David L. Smith Realty (a company established by her parents in 1960). January 1, 2008, she purchased her father’s interest in the business and is now a sole proprietor doing business as David L. Smith Realty. Dr. Lenamon has been married for 31 years to Ben Lenamon. They have three children, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren..
Lenamon believes strongly that living life to the fullest means giving of yourself. Being part of a community means giving to that community for the pure joy of doing it without expectations of glory or commendation. With this conviction, she gives and has given countless hours as well as monetarily the following organizations:
