Steven Sofos founded Sofos Realty Corporation in 1989. Since then, Sofos Realty has become the third largest commercial real estate brokerage firm in Hawaii. Steve has been a licensed broker in the State of Hawaii since 1976. Prior to forming Sofos Realty Corporation, Steve was Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at Chaney Brooks. Steve has sold and/or leased over $1 billion in commercial real estate including negotiations of long term ground leases, sale/leasebacks of national and local tenants, office, warehouse and retail leases, and sales of vacant land, office buildings, warehouses and shopping centers.
Steve has an extensive background in development consulting, project management, and other facets of commercial real estate and property management. Steve is a well known fixture in the commercial real estate industry in Hawaii serving as a court-appointed receiver, commissioner and provided numerous expert witness testimonies. He obtained the Certified Property Manager ® (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2002. Steve is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM); National Association of Industrial Office Park (NAIOP); Retail Merchants of Hawaii and Kakaako Improvement Association.
