Steven A. (Steve) Miscavish joined Marcus & Millichap in 2001 through the company’s Sales Intern Program (SIP). In 2002, Steve graduated from the program and began focusing on the sale of market-rate, multifamily properties throughout Southeast Michigan. In 2004, Steve joined the Affordable Housing Advisors (AHA), a specialty group of Marcus & Millichap that represents sellers and buyers of government-subsidized, multifamily properties. Since then, Steve has been instrumental in the growth of AHA and currently oversees the underwriting team. AHA now reviews and underwrites more than 1,300 properties per year. Since its inception, AHA has exclusively listed and sold more than 250,000 units of government-subsidized housing throughout the United States, valued at more than $15 billion. Steve earned his way into Marcus & Millichap’s Chairman’s Club from 2020-2022, as well as the Chairman’s Circle of Excellence in 2021 and 2022.
Steve is a frequent speaker at affordable housing events and conferences and sits on the board of the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA). He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) and a supporter of the Institute for Responsible Housing Preservation (IRHP) and National Housing and Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA). In 2019, Midwest Real Estate News Magazine honored Steve by inducting him in their Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Steve held the position of Financial Analyst for DaimlerChrysler AG.
