Stephen Schwalb serves as a director with Newmark Capital Markets in the company’s Dallas, Texas, office. As a member of the Loan Advisory Group, Stephen focuses on secondary debt transactions on a national basis. He is responsible for evaluating, structuring and executing portfolio and stand-alone asset transactions of performing, sub-performing and non-performing loans and real estate owned properties for Newmark.
Stephen has participated in the advisory and sale of more than $5 billion in assets over the past 10 years. He joined Newmark in 2019 from HFF, where he had been a member of the Loan & REO Sales Group. Prior to HFF, Stephen was an investment professional at FirstCity Financial Corporation, a specialty finance company focused on the acquisition of performing, subperforming and nonperforming loans.
Education
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and real estate from Baylor University.
He lives in the Dallas area with his wife and two daughters.
