Background
Steve came to Suntide with a wealth of experience in retail leasing, marketing, management and development. From 1986 to 1993, Steve was Executive Vice President and Partner at Gabbert & Beck, Edina, Minnesota. While there, Steve was responsible for the expansion and renovation of the 380,000 square foot Galleria, and the development and leasing of a new 200,000 square foot power center, Centennial Lakes, also in Edina.
From 1972 to 1986, Steve was with MEPC American Properties, Inc. He served as General Manager of the 700,000 square foot Apache Mall Shopping Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Steve managed all operating and leasing components, including the supervision of renovations and expansions. Steve also assisted MEPC in purchasing shopping centers nationwide, performing on-site visits, evaluating each property and market.
Steve is a current member, co-founder and past president of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a licensed Minnesota Real Estate Broker.
Educated in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Steve holds the Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) and Certified Marketing Director (CMD) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers
