Bio
Stephanie Heffernan joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2008 and has almost twenty years of architecture and real estate related experience. Stephanie began her career in leasing with Cushman & Wakefield’s Government Services Group, with a focus on representing building owners in pursuing federal government interests. She later expanded her capabilities to include leading private sector leasing efforts for landlord clients including Deka Immobilien Investments, New York Life Real Estate Investors, Principal Real Estate Investors, Douglas Development Corporation, EastBanc Properties, American Realty Advisors, and Westbrook Partners, among many others. Stephanie has also represented a diverse group of institutional and private sector tenant clients including Georgetown University, The George Washington University, and The World Bank Group. She recently transitioned back full time to the Government Services Group with a focus solely on representing owners targeting federal and local government tenants.
Stephanie’s strengths lie in her ability to analyze and negotiate complex real estate transactions. She presents detailed financial analysis from both a tenant and landlord perspective that allow her clients to make fully informed decisions during transaction negotiation. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Stephanie worked for over four years in the Washington, DC office of international architecture firm Gensler. She holds a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning degree from The University of Virginia’s School of Architecture.
