Bio
Stan Katz has 30 years of experience representing major corporations and developers in real estate transactions in New Jersey and the New York suburban marketplace. For the past five years, he has specialized in the assemblage and sale of land sites for development, particularly in the hospitality and healthcare sectors. Mr. Katz currently represents Marriott International, Lodgeworks, Extended StayAmerica and Togar Property Company in the acquisition of development sites. A former journalist, he began his real estate career as director of public relations for Cushman & Wakefield, where he was involved in that company's expansion from a local New York City firm to a national company, and developed marketing programs for high profile skyscrapers throughout the United States. He was a member of the team that successfully represented RCA in the disposition of large surplus properties, including a 400,000 square foot manufacturing building in Brazil, a 750,000 square foot divisional headquarters in the Boston area, and a large land tract in Parsippany, New Jersey that became Prudential Business Campus, the premier office park in the state. He also represented The Prudential in the marketing and leasing of a major office complex in Princeton, which was notable for its leading-edge design and technology. He participated in the early renaissance of the Jersey City Waterfront as renting agent of a former bank headquarters building at One Exchange Place. The building's leasing success was a forerunner of the great development tide that has transformed the Gold Coast. As a tenant advisor, Mr. Katz represented Dun & Bradstreet in the purchase of a new divisional headquarters in Parsippany, and in the lease (and renewal) of a computer-programming center in Basking Ridge. He represented ADT in the relocation of its corporate headquarters from the New York World Trade Center to Morris Corporate Center in Parsippany. His overseas assignments have included the disposition of a headquarters building for United Technologies in Argentina and the purchase of a pharmaceutical plant for Mallinckrodt in Germany.
