Bio
Simon first joined Jaggard Macland in the early 1990’s as a student whilst studying at Nottingham Trent University. After graduating he returned to Jaggard Macland to commence his training as a Chartered Surveyor. Simon is now a Partner at Jaggard Macland and now co-owns the company.
Simon specialises in providing advice to companies occupying leasehold property, especially in the office, educational and warehousing sectors. Simon is also an expert in commercial property investment acquisition, disposal and asset management. Simon assists property owners with transactional work, including investment agency and conditional contracts.
His clients include: BPP Professional Education, A2Dominion Housing Association, Saga Group and Moon Beever Solicitors. Simon worked on the site assembly project for the £250m redevelopment in central Maidenhead. In 2017 he completed the sale of land in Buntingford for over £4m on a subject to planning basis. He advises BPP Professional Education on their nationwide portfolio of offices/teaching centres, including leasehold acquisition of 23,000sq.ft in Croydon and 19,000sq.ft on St Mary Axe in London. Simon has provided A2 Dominion Housing Association acquisition and lease advice over many years, including their new head office at The Point in Paddington at a rent of over £1m per annum.
Simon has very high attention to detail and strong determination to get the deal done for the best possible outcome. He is a member of the RICS and holds a degree in Urban Estate Surveying.
Beyond work, Simon is a keen tennis player at Thame Tennis Club and a lifelong Blackpool FC supporter, which he inherited from his father and has now passed on to his son. Married with 2 children, weekends are about family time in Oxfordshire where they live.
