Shiv K. Mishra is a Principal of The Mishra Group, ultimately responsible for handling all aspects and components of the firm's commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions activities.

Since 2017, Shiv has been thoroughly involved in the Houston-based and privately held commercial real estate firm his father, Vijay, started more than 20 years ago, in 1997. As early as his high school days, Shiv's father involved him in some of the most crucial components of commercial real estate transactions; and, consequently, Shiv was soon regularly working on real estate transactions with some of the largest banks, real estate investment trusts, and other institutional-level buyers and sellers.

First joining the firm as an Analyst, Shiv has successfully worked alongside his father in executing more than $75 million in commercial real estate transactions, with several noteworthy assignments, ranging the full spectrum of the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing components:

Indeed, Shiv's absolute favorite stage of a real estate deal is found during the contract negotiation, due diligence & financing components. Shiv performs best in team environments and often enjoys the level of character discovered while collaborating in business. Subsequently, at such a relatively young age, Shiv has developed strong professional and personal relationships with some of Houston's most notable and well-respected commercial real estate professionals, such that he is sometimes called upon for market insight/investment advisory.

Since his joining, Shiv has had the opportunity to restructure some of the most critical operational components of the firm, having worked directly alongside his father in restructuring the firm's legal representational procedure, engaging and transitioning accounts to one of the largest real estate accounting firms, internal hiring procurement and procedure, among numerous other operational facets. And, while running the firm's acquisition and disposition activities, Shiv is often lending a hand on the property management and leasing sides, most specifically with negotiating larger leases and lease compliance of an approximate 750,000 square foot portfolio.
