Bio
Shelley Buckman is originally from Anchorage, Alaska. While attending the University of Arizona on a scholarship for baton twirling, she quickly realized that the heat of southern Arizona was not for her so she transferred up to Flagstaff and immediately fell in love with the area. She completed her degree in Business Finance at Northern Arizona University in 2004 and started her career in real estate the following year.

In order to establish herself in real estate, Shelley worked for over 12 years as a bartender at the historic Hotel Weatherford in beautiful downtown Flagstaff. In addition to helping her develop professional skills like grace under pressure and effective communication, this time helped Shelley to really get to know Flagstaff and its residents. Shelley is fortunate that the majority of her clients consist of friends, referrals, and past clients, which speaks highly to her ability to build lasting professional and personal relationships. This really stems from Shelley’s philosophy behind her work as a realtor. She loves assisting clients to remove the fear and confusion that often accompanies the home buying process in order to help them find a place they really love. She also knows that for buyers, they are looking for more than just a house—they are looking for a home in which to build their memories—and Shelley loves to give that to them. Does that sound a little cheesy? Perhaps, but Shelley is a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, so the cheese runs deep—but that does not make it any less honest or true. Shelley’s care and devotion to her career shows not only in her work, but also in the satisfaction of her clients.

When Shelley is not buying and selling houses or cheering for the Packers, she loves to take advantage of Flagstaff’s beautiful climate and spends as much time outside as possible. In the summer, she can be found hiking or off-roading with her dog, and in the winter she is an avid snowboarder and enjoys hitting the slopes at Snowbowl. Although Shelley no longer bartends, she is still active in local community events and continues to embrace the town she has taken as her home. Shelley is currently a real estate agent with Realty ONE Group Mountain Desert.
