Bio
Scott Myers began his career in real estate in March of 2019 after working for several years as an engineer and project/operations manager in the oil and gas industry. Through his engineering and management experience, he learned the importance of planning, organization, and diligence to details. He joined eXp Commercial after discovering their many advantages. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Candidate, having passed three of the required four major courses. He has also completed training and received certification from the National Commercial Real Estate Association (NCREA).
Before Scott began his real estate career, he strongly considered purchasing a business brokering franchise. After contemplating the pros and cons of a franchise, he decided that it would be better to start via commercial real estate and then incorporate business brokering. He has currently completed training and received course certification for business brokering. The course work was provided by Joe Caffrey, a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), who is the owner of Worldwide Business Brokers. The CBI designation is given by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) to members who have completed the required coursework and have verifiable experience in business brokering transactions. Scott is a member of the IBBA and is actively pursuing the CBI designation.
In addition to Scott’s candidate membership in CCIM and his IBBA membership, he also is a member of AREAA, The Shelby County Chamber, the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Irondale Chamber of Commerce. He works closely with other eXp Commercial brokers, such as Gerard Perillo, CBI, and Keith Andrews, CCIM. Both of these gentlemen have over 15 years of experience in their respective fields. Being an agent with eXp Commercial links Scott to hundreds of commercial real estate and business brokers throughout the US who have experience with most all business types and asset classes.
