Bio
Scott P. Lawrence serves as the Vice President of Business Development and Legal Affairs for Investment Capital Partners. He specializes in asset acquisitions, leasing, development, financing and legal matters for ICP. Scott worked in both finance and law prior to joining ICP. Between 1999 and 2001, he worked as a Corporate Finance Analyst within Morgan Stanley’s Technology Investment Banking Group in Menlo Park, California, advising and executing over a dozen equity and debt financings and M&A transactions with industry-leading technology clients in the Internet, data networking, semiconductors, enterprise software, and contract manufacturing sectors. After law and business school, Scott worked as a law clerk for two federal judges, the Honorable Pamela Ann Rymer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Mariana R. Pfaelzer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where he assisted the judges with federal antitrust, securities, patent, healthcare, copyright, telecommunications, ERISA, employment discrimination, environmental, criminal, and federal and state constitutional cases. In 2007, Scott joined Latham & Watkins LLP as an Associate in the Securities Litigation and Professional Liability, White Collar Defense and Investigations, and Appellate practices, he where worked on internal investigations and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, asset forfeiture, securities, insurance, and healthcare matters. Immediately prior to joining ICP, Scott worked for Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP as an Associate in the litigation department, where he worked on complex financial, securities, antitrust and products liability litigation matters. Scott graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. He earned a JD/MBA in 2006 from the UCLA School of Law and UCLA Anderson School of Management. Scott is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York and California (inactive).
