Bio
Scott Katcher has honed a highly consultative approach in his 30-year career in tenant representation. He joined Savills in 1993, and over the course of his career has represented the interests of tenants with multi-market and multi-transactional requirements for a total of more than 5 million square feet. He has represented occupiers across a variety of industries at a local and national level, including Sanyo Fisher, Tetra Tech, University of Redlands, Cast & Crew Entertainment Services and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In addition to representing tenants, Scott has also established a background in representing the interests of buyers and sellers of investment and owner/user property. While working with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), Scott developed and implemented a strategic real estate plan, which included a comprehensive analysis and study comparing the cost of a build-to-suit with the cost of retrofitting an existing facility. The final result was a decision to purchase an existing facility, ultimately saving AMPAS over $10 million. Scott applied his process management and core delivery team leadership skills in a project for Lucent Technology. He led the team that delivered a multistate search and in-depth analyses, including strategic services and financial consulting services, to determine the most appropriate and adequate location for Lucent’s western regional facility. It was determined that remaining in California was the best possible solution due to real estate cost savings, employee retention and available technology.
