Scott Cook, CPM, CCAM, is the President/Broker of the Sperry Van Ness/Finest City Commercial office in San Diego County, as well as the VP of Operations for Sperry Van Ness/Promus Commercial. Mr. Cook oversees all day-to-day systems and procedures, staff, and portfolio management, as well as overseeing all construction management, brokerage, and business development. He has over 18 years of commercial and residential real estate experience with a wide array of industry knowledge and familiarity.
Scott is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and has obtained the CPM (Certified Property Manager) through the Institute of Real estate Management. In addition, he is also a CCAM (Certified Community Association Manager) which equips him to manage Commercial Real Estate Associations. He is currently a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) candidate. He has an undergraduate degree from San Diego State University with an emphasis in Political Science.
Scott Cook is involved with numerous real estate industry organizations including the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Apartment Association and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) where he serves as the Chair of the San Diego AMO Committee as well an an incoming board member starting in 2013, which recognizes excellence among real estate management firms. He sits on the Legislative Steering Committee for the San Diego County Apartment Association (SDCAA) and is an active member of the San Diego Association of Realtors. He currently serves on the City of Chula Vista Economic Development Committee.
As part of his ongoing commitment to the community, Scott volunteers his time and energy to local planning groups and sits on the Board of Directors for the 2,300 unit Master Association in Eastlake. He has coached little league teams and AYSO soccer teams and donates time to the local PTA. Scott supports his personal passion, The Water Project (thewaterproject.org), which funds the building of wells in Africa to provide clean safe drinking water.
