Bio
A native of Piedmont, California, Sarah attended college in Chico and spent the first seven years following graduation working in marketing with a specialty in aging demographics. But, having grown up as the daughter of a real estate developer, this business is in her blood; you could say that she was raised on "brick and mortar." In 1995, Sarah began her career as a Real Estate Agent with Elmwood Realty & Investments in Berkeley — mastering the art of both residential and investment sales — in the highly regulated Bay Area communities. She hasn’t looked back since. Her talents were recognized when, in 2005, she was offered the opportunity to become the owner of Elmwood Realty. After a number of successful years, Sarah met her husband (owner of the Brewery Gulch Inn), sold her Berkeley brokerage to San Francisco based McGuire Real Estate and relocated to the beautiful Coastal Mendocino and re-started what she loves doing most: buying and selling properties for her clients.
Sarah just celebrated her 8-year anniversary with living on the coast and working with Mendo Realty. Within a relatively short period of time, she successfully completed an impressive list of sales for her clients. She is a big believer in presenting her listings to their greatest advantage and this is why she always uses professional photography. In today's market, buyers are primarily coming from out-of-area and you must present in its best light.
In addition to real estate, Sarah is involved with her family's vineyard in the Anderson Valley. She enjoys performing the duties of a "vineyard ambassador" for wineries that they sell grapes to. In 2012 her husband, father, step-daughter, daughter, and Sarah embarked on a multi-generational adventure and started their own wine label, Fathers and Daughters Cellars — exploring three of the best things in life: fathers, daughters, and wine.
