Bio
Sam Centeno, Associate Broker, joined Southpace Properties in May of 2017 after graduating from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration. Sam specializes in retail tenant representation while working alongside Bryan Holt with some of the top brands in the American retail industry. Sam’s areas of expertise include market development planning, demographic and traffic analysis, lease and contract negotiation and retail development consulting. Sam is passionate about working in the commercial real estate industry and enjoys the continual daily learning, as well as, the people-to-people relationships that coincide with the business.
Sam is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Alabama CCIM Chapter, the Young Professionals of Birmingham, the Phi Gamma Delta Birmingham Board, and the Phoenix Club of Birmingham. He is currently pursuing his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and has completed CI-101 and CI-104. Sam was awarded the John Lauriello CCIM Scholarship in November of 2018. He was also named as one of the Birmingham Business Journal’s (BBJ) Rising Stars of Real Estate & Construction in 2019.
In his free time, Sam enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as, following the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves.
