Mr. Abercrombie joined Colliers Keenan as Chief Executive Office and a Principal in 2004. He has thirty years of banking and real estate experience and was the former chairman, chief executive officer, and president of American Federal Bank, Greenville, South Carolina, prior to its merger with CCB Financial Corporation headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. After the merger, he remained with CCB as an executive vice president and vice chairman until his retirement in 2003. During his tenure at American Federal, he established a commercial lending department and served as the chief lending officer. His experience includes foreclosing and negotiating the leasing and selling of vacant office space in the Upstate and in remote markets such as San Diego, CA and Atlanta, GA. Mr. Abercrombie is extensively involved in the work of professional, civic, and service groups in both the Greater Greenville area and at the state level.
