Rob Rutherford, a Colleyville resident since 1989 and a former Colleyville Planning & Zoning Commissioner & Zoning Board of Adjustments member opened Rutherford Realty, LLC in 2007 with wife Teresa, a Realtor/Broker in Southlake, Texas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob is a West Texas native and a 1966 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA Degree in Advertising/Marketing. He received his first real estate license in 1962 and has been a real estate appraiser/sales associate, banker, corporate executive, real estate investor and entrepreneur. Rob & wife Teresa purchased their first investment property in 1968 and since then have owned, managed and sold numerous apartment complexes, commercial office buildings, land & other rental properties. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After graduation from Texas Tech, Rob became a sales manager with Shell Oil Co. and then had a 25+year career with Verizon/GTE in public affairs and economic development. In 1993, Rob retired from GTE along with his son and opened the Southwest Regional office for FAST Advertising, a promotions/marketing firm in Bedford. In 2003, Rob turned the promotions firm over to his son, renewed his real estate license and got into commercial real estate full-time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob is one of the founding members of the Mid-Cities Real Estate Brokers Assn., a member of the North Texas Commercial Assn. of Realtors, Metro Tex Assn. of Realtors & is very active in NETC community organizations including Board Member, Colleyville Lions Club, Colleyville Center (past 10 year Advisory Board member), Northeast Leadership Forum, Southlake Executive Forum, Rocky Top Advisory Board, Timarron Country Club Ambassador and is a member of the Colleyville and Southlake chambers of commerce.
Education
Earned BBA degree in Marketing and Advertising from Texas Tech University - 1966. At Texas Tech was Vice-President of Alpha Delta Sigma, a professional Marketing and Advertising Fraternity. Was graduated from Monahans (Texas) high school (1958).
