Bio
Rickey Chavez and his family are Veterans, they serve! His father retired from the Army in 1983 and Rickey retired from the Army in 2002. His son and sons-in-law are currently serving in the Army/Army Reserve as well as protecting Houston as members of HPD. Once Rickey retired, he transitioned to corporate America as an HR professional. While he was employed full time, he decided he would return to school where he earned his bachelor’s in management and an MBA with a concentration in human resources. He did this so he could better guide the employees in the companies where he served in his HR role. When it came time for Rickey to retire, he was the HR director for a transportation company in Boston.
During his military career and his tenure in corporate America Rickey moved numerous times, from state to state and country to country and then back again. Since his family and him moved so many times, he understands the stress of moving. When you add the stress of moving to the challenge of transitioning to a new position or in some cases even a new company your family can be affected. Rickey’s goal is to ease this experience by providing world class service. He earned his real estate license in Jan 2017. Being retired and enjoying real estate allows him to devote time without obstacles to provide guidance to his clients allowing them to move as fast or slow as feels comfortable to them during their home buying/selling experience.
Rickey enjoys being involved in the community and devotes time to the Texas Raiders Football Organization that guides local youth and young adults as they live their dream of playing football. The Texas Raiders Organization provides to the community by providing backpacks for children in need as well as Christmas presents for children with special needs; to mention a few of their activities. He also spends time mentoring Veterans that are transitioning to the civilian community and attends the local Veterans Felony Court as a mentor. Rickey is married with four grown children and six unbelievable grandchildren.
