Rick Widerman is Executive Vice President located in the Cherry Hill, NJ office and oversees brokerage operations for the South Jersey region. He has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience in a wide range of commercial real estate disciplines including landlord representation, office development and tenant representation. This varied background within the industry provides insight into the various aspects of commercial real estate from the owner and tenant perspective which can be valuable when analyzing proposed transactions.
Rick joined JLL seven years ago after spending ten years with the tenant representation firm Equis (now DTZ). While at Equis, Rick provided site selection and tenant representation services for major corporations. These transactions included headquarters location for Verizon Wireless and Checkpoint Systems in New Jersey as well as a build to suit customer service center for DaimlerChrysler. Since joining JLL, Rick has worked as the lead broker on transactions for AT&T throughout the South, Towers Watson in North America and GlaxoSmithKline in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Recent transactions include the new headquarters for Destination Maternity in Mount Laurel, NJ and the representation of Xerox Corporation for 150,000 feet in Cherry Hill.
Prior to joining Equis, he was Director of Real Estate Services for Atlantic American Properties, a Lezard Freres private Real Estate Investment Trust, where he provided real estate consulting and transaction services to major corporations nationwide. Prior to that, Rick was Director of Urban Leasing for Bell Atlantic Properties, where he was responsible for the leasing and asset management of a 2.7 million square foot portfolio of high rise office buildings in Philadelphia and Richmond, Virginia. Rick came to Bell Atlantic Properties from Pitcairn Properties, a regional developer of office and industrial buildings where he was involved in all aspects of high rise office development including market feasibility analysis, leasing, marketing and tenant construction.
