Richard Sokolov was President and Chief Executive Officer of DeBartolo Realty Corporation from its incorporation in 1994 until it merged with Simon's predecessors in 1996. He joined its predecessor, the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, in 1982 as Vice President and General Counsel and was named Senior Vice President of Development and General Counsel in 1986. In the past five years, he previously served as a director of Washington Prime Group (formerly WP Glimcher). Mr. Sokolov has been a director of Simon Property Group since 1996.
