Richard formed Shenkarow Realty Advisors in 1999 with a group of senior CB Richard Ellis employees. Shenkarow Realty Advisors provides preferred client services through its company’s capabilities, advanced technical access to national market conditions and network of national real estate professionals.
The focus of Shenkarow Realty Advisors is to assist clients with asset enhancement with a focus on the master planning for commercial development that will adhere to and solve neighborhood and regional issues.
Richard returned to Tucson in 1985 as an Office Specialist with CB Richard Ellis. Richard was a consistent Top Five Producer from 1987 through 1998 and the overall top producer in the CB Richard Ellis Tucson office from 1988 through 1991, 1995, 1996 and 1998. In over 30 years of operation, Richard was the first salesperson at CB Richard Ellis in Tucson to attain the title of First Vice President and then Senior Vice President.
In 1982, Richard was sent to Scotland to oversee the purchase and commercial development of fish farms. A 46,000 sq. ft factory was developed adjacent to Hunterston Nuclear Power Plant, one of the United Kingdom’s oldest nuclear power facilities. Richard coordinated the development of the overseas operation from design and construction to all contracts and management of employees. Richard handled all international banking arrangements including negotiations with the Scottish Development Agency (SDA), Scottish Economic Planning Department (SEPD) and the European Economic Community (EEC). Richard negotiated contracts for sale within the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Greece, and the United States.
In 1981, Richard moved to the International Department where he headed up a team that was sent to Sierra Leone, Africa. In Sierra Leone, Richard completed negotiations for a 100,000-acre parcel for the development of a commercial rice plantation.
In 1975, Richard Shenkarow was hired by Dollar Enterprises, a private holding company, based in San Francisco. Richard was responsible for marketing and investment analysis, while overseeing a $200 million portfolio, which included real estate in California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Arizona.
Richard’s high level of service and integrity has helped him develop a list of national, regional and local clients who have used his services on a repeat basis. His consistent level of professionalism and the highest ethical standards dominate Richard’s service as head of Shenkarow Realty Advisors.
