Rich Robins’ broad commercial real estate background has helped him become a focused person geared toward creating solutions to problems for the past 46 years. Rich has been involved in the management, leasing and development of all types of shopping centers, office buildings and properties throughout the West.
In 1972 Rich graduated from the University of Utah, where he earned his MBA degree. In 1975 Rich acquired his Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from ICSC, and in 1978 he was presented with ICSC’s national award for “Innovative Development Techniques” for his six years of work managing Trolley Square.
Rich has been very active with ICSC, serving two three-year terms as Utah State director and one three-year term as government affairs chairman. He has been serving as a Utah State ICSC program committee member since 1974.
During his real estate career, Rich has functioned in many capacities, including the original manager for Trolley Square, a nationally recognized specialty and entertainment shopping center, and as director of leasing for the Boyer Company, GGP(Price Development), CRG ( Consolidate Realty Group), Prime Commercial, and Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors. For the past 24 years, he has been in the retail brokerage business serving both tenants and landlords. Rich’s expansive background and real estate involvement has enabled him to work with many national tenants and landlord/developers.
Rich has been involved as a listing agent for many of the high-profile shopping centers in Utah: Draper Peaks, Draper Crossing, Commons @West Bountiful, The Riverdale Center, River Park Office Campus (Retail component only), Redwood Plaza, Valley Fair Mall, Newgate Mall, The Terrace at Traverse Mountain, The Crossroads of Taylorsville, Trolley Square, Layton Pointe, South Towne Power Center, and many more. Over the last 24 years, Rich has been hired by many national retailers for the re-leasing and selling of surplus big-box and mid-box tenant sites, and been very successful in accomplishing that goal. He is a proven disposition leader of excess retail properties. He has the abilitly to "think out of the box" for all projects!
