Bio
A top 1% producing agent with extensive experience serving clients throughout some of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, including Noe Valley, Mission Dolores, Duboce Triangle and Hayes Valley, Rachel Swann brings over a decade of real estate experience to Compass.
Rachel joins Compass from The Agency where she served as the Managing Partner for San Francisco. Prior to The Agency Rachel helped lead The Swann Group, a partner group of agents at Vanguard Properties, which she in 2013. Serving as Principal, Rachel and her team were recognized for their industry knowledge, expert negotiation skills, and track record for generating superior results for a discerning clientele. Prior to founding The Swann Group, she spent several years working with Hill & Co. Real Estate and Vanguard Properties. A San Francisco homeowner and landlord in Noe Valley, Rachel understands that buying or selling a home is one of the most important decisions a person will make, and is committed to helping her clients navigate the process with patience, discretion, and a few laughs along the way.
Born and raised on the border of Sheboygan and Kohler, Wisconsin, Rachel moved to California to study wine at UC Berkeley and The Master Court of Sommeliers. After finishing her studies, she went on to tour the French and German wine routes and taste her way through Napa, Sonoma, and beyond. In 2005, after 17 years in the restaurant, club, and wine industries, Rachel moved to San Francisco. Enamored by the city’s distinctive architecture and seeking a career change, she earned her real estate license. Driven by her endless curiosity and motivation to succeed, a career in San Francisco’s dynamic and competitive real estate industry proved a perfect match. Living and breathing District 5, she remains committed to helping her clients find their own versions of home and happiness in the city she’s come to know and love.
A food and wine enthusiast, when she’s not serving her clients in real estate, Rachel enjoys trying the city’s newest restaurants, wine tasting, traveling, peletoning, supporting the locals through philanthropy and spending time with her nephew. She donates her time and resources to a number of causes she holds dear, including Art for AIDS, HRC, SPCA, ICA Work Study Program, and Friends of Noe Valley. Rachel lives in Noe Valley with her wife and three dogs, LaToya, Bentley, and Besito, and serves as President of the Noe Valley Neighborhood Merchants & Professionals.
