R. Scott Burdett is a commercial real estate executive based in Rochester, NY. He serves as the Vice President of Brokerage Services for Flaum Management Company, Inc., and is a licensed real estate broker in New York and Pennsylvania. Mr. Burdett focuses on retail tenant and landlord representation for a variety of local, regional and national companies across the Eastern United States with a focus on the New York and Pennsylvania markets. In 2019, Scott received his designation as a Certified Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP) from ICSC.Scott’s passion for Rochester expands beyond real estate. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Wilmot Cancer Institute at the University of Rochester, Rochester Area Community Foundation, Golisano Autism Center and AutismUp. He is a past board member at Hillside’ Children’s Center, The Center for Teen Empowerment, Rochester Downtown Development Corporation and the Al Sigl Community of Agencies.Professionally, Scott is past Board of Governor for the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) and past Board Member for the NYSCAR Rochester Area Chapter. Mr. Burdett is active within the ICSC and currently serves as a member of the ICSC Political Action Committee as well as being the Government Relations Chair for the New York City Marketplace. In addition, Mr. Burdett has chaired the Upstate NY IdeaExhange for a number for years and has participated in ICSC NextGen as a chair of the Upstate NY Chapter and as a planning committee member of the NextGen National Conference.Scott has been recognized for his professional achievements by the Rochester Business Journal as a 2012 Forty under 40 Award Recipient, by NYSCAR as the Best New Talent in Commercial Real Estate in 2008 and the Deal of the Year Award in 2015. Scott has been recognized by CoStar from 2016-2022 Power Broker Award as a Top Retail Leasing Broker and Top Sales Broker in the Rochester MSA. In 2021, Scott was the recipient of the Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Award from the Rochester Business Journal.Scott is a member of several professional organizations including the International Association of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR), the New York State Associations of Realtors (NYSAR), and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Mr. Burdett is a graduate of Brighton High School and attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Scott and his wife, Christina have three children and reside in Pittsford, NY.
