Bio
Few people know more about "what makes Arizona tick" than Preston Westmoreland. Although he's been an award-winning Realtor since 1988, for even longer, 32 years, was one of the most successful radio talk show hosts in the country. Winner of the "Marconi Award," radio's "Oscar" for best large market radio personality in the country, twice-nominated to the Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago and a member of the Arizona Broadcaster's Association Hall of Fame, even honored by the Governor for promoting Arizona tourism! It was all the perfect preparation for his transition into real estate. In his first year with Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty, he was voted "Rookie of the Year"for the highest sales volume of any new agent. Preston has featured numerous unusual properties around the Phoenix area, as part of Fox10's "Cool House" show. And one of those featured homes became his first big sale--the famous Boulder House, called by Stanley Marcus "the most unusual home in America." Preston and his escrow officer/Realtor wife Nancy, negotiated the sale of a home built out of a pile of rocks, procuring the property for the Ft. McDowell Indian Nation for close to $ 5 million dollars, in a deal featured by the Arizona Republic. The home had been showcased on the cover of Architectural Digest and the Discovery Channel. He and his wife Nancy produced the first DVD on desert survival ever made. Paul Harvey, a valley resident, congratulated Preston on his broadcasts, and called "Stay Alive-a guide to survival in the Desert Southwest" a "First-Class Safety Briefing." Their DVD has been featured all over the country, even by David Letterman and one of Japan's most popular shows. You'll enjoy learning a lot about the desert environment while out looking for real estate with the Westmorelands! Preston and his wife Nancy, specialize in the unusual and unique homes that can't be duplicated. Airport properties, homes with large acreage, dwellings constructed in spectacular locales or noteworthy for their construction. They are experts in the Paradise Valley area, as well as right in her own backyard, Carefree, Cave Creek and North Scottsdale, where he and Nancy have lived for over twenty-six years as a Carefree homeowner. He is a 44-year resident of Arizona. He's been a licensed Arizona real estate agent since 1988, a million-dollar producer every year since he went active, as well as a member of the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Preston and his wife also enjoy flying around the state in their airplane, showing clients a "bird's-eye-view of unique properties. He's an avid camper and loves to explore Arizona by four-wheel-drive, and also enjoys scuba diving, as an advanced diver.
