J. Philip Faranda is founder and CEO of J. Philip Real Estate, which he founded in 2005. The firm is, by transaction total, the top-selling true independent Westchester and Putnam-based brokerage. The company serves all of Westchester as well as nearby Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess and Fairfield (CT)Counties.
Phil has appeared on ABC World News and been a source for the New York Times, Businessweek, the Associated Press, MSNBC, The New York Post, Gannett, AOL, The Real Deal, TheStreet.com, 1010Wins.com, Smart Money, MSN Money, Time.com, and various other media outlets.
An industry veteran since 1996, he built the firm from a solo practice into a 3-office, 80-agent enterprise. He was the 2014 President of the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service, was also a director for the New York Association of Realtors and 2014 chair of the NYSAR Technology Forum. In 2012 he was among 20 agents selected nationwide to be on Zillow.com's Agent Advisory Board was a 2013 finalist for the Inman News Innovator Award. In 2017 he was selected to the Inman Real Estate Influencer list. He also serves as the President of the Beverly Carter Foundation, a nonprofit named for the late Ms Carter, which is committed to forwarding the cause of real estate agent workplace safety.
