Bio
Pete has more than 40 years experience in tax planning and compliance services. He began his career working in the national tax headquarters of General Business Services, Inc. in the subsidiary, General Tax Services, Inc. He is an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Financial Planner with a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Southeastern University.
Past experience includes Director in the Individual Returns Department of General Tax Services, Director of Taxation for the CPA firm of Fisher Barkanic and Associates, Director of the Tyson's Corner office of American Express Tax and Business Services, and member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (now known as the Financial Planning Association).
Pete enjoys baseball and follows several teams – the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants. He also enjoys travel, listening to music, especially blues and jazz, and would like to do woodworking if time would permit.
