Peter de Wetter joined RJL Real Estate Consultants in 2017 focusing on the sale and leasing of commercial properties.
Since joining the firm, Peter has become one of the most active brokers in the El Paso region completing over $250 million in transaction value.
He has been involved with leasing the most recognized shopping centers in El Paso including West Towne Marketplace (500,000 SF), The Fountains at Farah (650,000 SF), and La Villita - Whole Foods Center (91,000 SF).
Most recently, Peter was involved in leasing El Paso’s newest open-air shopping center, Eastlake Marketplace, completing leases with Burlington, PetSmart, ULTA, Spec’s, Five Below, Amazing Lash studio, European Wax Center, Great Clips, and Sushi Freak.
Peter’s current Tenant relationships include Amazing Lash Studio, Applebee’s, AutoZone, Chipotle, Dutch Bros, European Wax Center, Great Clips, KFC, McAlister’s Deli, McDonald’s, Murphy Oil USA, My Salon Suites, Orangetheory, Papa John’s, Peter Piper Pizza, Planet Fitness, Sherwin Williams, Spec’s, Take 5 Car Wash & Oil and Walgreens.
In addition, Peter has participated in the sale of over 350 acres of commercial and industrial land as part of a master planned, strategically developed Municipal Utility District at I-10 & Eastlake which has become the fastest growing trade area in the El Paso region.
Some of Peter’s notable building sales include former Food City Grocery Store (69,000 SF), former Macy’s at Sunland Park Mall (105,000 SF), UMC Surgical Center – West (23,000 SF), Barnes & Noble at Sunland Park (18,000 SF) and Revere Distribution Center (150,000 SF).
Peter’s recent investment sale transactions in El Paso include (3) Murphy USA’s, Walgreens, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., and VillageMD/Walgreens.
Peter is recognized as a results-oriented deal maker with the region’s largest developers, landlords, and tenants. He is known for his ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and honestly.
Peter received a Bachelor’s in Economics from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and is a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
He currently serves on the board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is a member of Leadership El Paso Class XL.
Peter is a fifth generation El Pasoan and is married to Lisbeth with whom he has two daughters.
