After working as a Civil Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation, PC Amin founded Shamin Hotels by purchasing his first hotel in 1979. Since then, he has developed numerous commercial developments, assisted-living facilities, and hotels over his 35 year career. In 2001, he spearheaded the development of the Cultural Center of India, located in Richmond, VA. (a non-profit center that caters to the needs of the local community). In addition to his efforts at Shamin Hotels, PC Amin serves as Chairman of the Cultural Center of India, and sits on the board of Chesterfield Center for the Arts Foundation in Richmond, VA He has received many honors from the industry and the community including Hilton’s Lifetime Achievement Award and IHG Developer of the Year award. PC’s immeasurable generosity towards others and endless drive for success, are deeply rooted in the culture of Shamin Hotels today.
