Paul joined MK2 Real Estate in May 2014 as a Director to set up the Asset Management Team. Based in Birmingham for the past 26 years, Paul started his career with GBR Phoenix Beard in the Estate Management Team where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992. In 1998 he joined Fuller Peiser as head of the Landlord and Tenant Team. In 2000 he was recruited by Bruton Knowles to open a new Birmingham office and later returned to Fuller Peiser in 2002 where he became an Equity Partner in 2006 shortly before the business was purchased by BNP Paribas Real Estate. In 2009 Paul was promoted to Head of the Birmingham Office later becoming Head of the Midlands and South Region in 2013 with responsibility for Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton offices.
Paul specialises in with rent reviews and lease renewals and provides strategic advice surrounding leases, including lease extensions/regears, surrenders and re-grants. He is a skilled valuer and negotiator with experience in providing expert evidence to arbitration and court hearings.
Acting on behalf of both landlords and tenants throughout his career Paul is able to advise on most commercial property types including high street and out of town retail, shopping centres, pubs, in and out of town offices as well as single and multi let industrial. He has particular expertise in the logistics market and regularly deals with distribution warehouses in excess of 100,000 sq ft.
Paul’s clients include M&G Real Estate, Standard Life, L&G, IM Properties, Aviva, Pirelli Tyres, Poundland and UPS.
Paul is married with two children. He is a keen golfer and an avid supporter of AFC Bournemouth.
