Bio
After receiving a BA in Environmental Design from SUNY Buffalo, followed by Master of Architecture Degree from Yale University Paul spent 10 years practicing Architecture with I.M. Pei and Partners and then Preiss Briesmeister Associates of Stamford, CT. The projects varied from skyscrapers and museums to corporate interiors and homes. After starting The Greenwich Land Company, with Peter Lauridsen, in 1986 much of the business was real estate consulting, for developers, as well as the design and rehabilitation of local properties. When the tax laws changed the investment real estate market the Greenwich Land Company continued and added sales and leasing of commercial and residential properties to our list of services. “It is truly amazing that people will invest a large percentage of their net worth in an investment for which they have less information than they have for a car or TV purchase”. “I have always approached real estate as a professional consultant, not unlike my architectural practice. I try to identify all of the issues relating to a property not just the positive ones. If it means you don’t buy a property because of my candor and honesty we have served your interests in a professional manor”. Paul spends a lot of time helping to make Greenwich a better place. He has been a member of the Architectural Review Committee for almost 25 years acting as chairman for many of them. He has spent almost 2 decades volunteering with the Bruce Museum as a member of Long Range Planning and Building committees and also on the Board of Directors and as Vice President. He is part of the Preservation Network sponsored by the Historical Society During the past five years he has been a member of the Byram Planning Committee trying to improve the quality of the streetscape and land use in Western Greenwich. “With a knowledge base ranging from architecture to development, construction and real estate management, I don’t have all the answers but we have more than most and can guide you to accomplishing a successful real estate transaction”.
