Bio
Third generation P.B. Odom III's home building career started in 1969 when his Grandfather took him to his completed section of the Ranchwood Manor development at SW 89th & Santa Fe. He showed Paul a standing stem wall and asked if he had considered becoming a builder. Knowing Paul had been involved in every facet since childhood, he gave him the blue prints, patted him on the back, and said to call him if he needed help. After a few months, and maybe a few calls, Paul completed his first home. The home was 2,000 square feet and sold for $27,000. After his grandfather died in 1978, his grandmother Lottye Mae, continued to be active in building, giving support, encouragement and counsel until her death in August 1997.?? After eight years of successful home building in 1977, Paul purchased his first land for the Winepark community at SW 128th & May. Since then, he has developed Lakewood Terrace, Western Flags, Briarwood Creek and Mayfield, amounting to well over 2,500 home sites. His premier community Rivendell, at SW 119th & May Avenue, was started in 1989 with 44 home sites and has grown to over 500 residences. He has plans to double its current size. Talavera Phase One, located at SW 169th and S. Santa Fe, was developed in 2004 and with Phase Four completed, will encompass 440 of 600+ home sites. The stunning community of Rockport has now reached over 250 home sites. ??P.B. Odom III's Châtenay, is an exquisite, French-Château styled, gated community at SW 104th & Penn, which took him four years to plan and develop. His son David, the fourth generation of Odom builders, has constructed the majority of Châtenay, which includes gazebos, a clubhouse, and eight-foot brick wall surrounding 17 acres. ??P.B. Odom III's commercial developments are class A retail with a 130,000 square foot shopping center that is west of Châtenay.
