Paul D. Motta is an Executive Vice President of Leasing with Urban Retail Properties Co. Mr. Motta is also the National Director of Large Box/Community Center Leasing and Peripheral Land Sales. He has been with the company since 1992 and has held his current position since its creation 2002. He is responsible for all Large Box lease negotiations, overseeing the leasing of Community Centers, selling and leasing of peripheral land, creating redevelopment strategies for under-performing assets, cultivating new business, and maintaining relationships with national and regional tenants.
Mr. Motta’s tenure with Urban Retail began with his position as Property Manager where he was quickly promoted to Senior Property Manager/Leasing Representative, responsible for 11 shopping centers in Florida. In 1995, he was promoted to Vice President and Regional Director of Leasing, overseeing the leasing of 16 community centers in the Eastern Region.
Mr. Motta has been directly involved in the pre-leasing of five new developments ranging in size from 190,000 to 1,300,000 square feet. He has also been instrumental in a number of re-development projects across the country.
Prior to joining, Urban Retail Mr. Motta was a Property Manager for Commercial Management Corporation from 1989 – 1991, and from 1988 – 1989 he was a Project Manager with Lenk Construction. Mr. Motta received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Florida, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and holds a Real Estate License in Florida.
