Paul DeBono is a dynamic and results-oriented professional with over 23 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Planning, and Government. Paul has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and asset management, for a diverse range of clients. His expertise spans across institutional, corporate, and family offices, allowing him to navigate various asset classes such as office, medical office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use properties.
In his current role as Vice President of Brokerage & Client Services at Beanstalk Real Estate Solutions, Paul spearheads business development initiatives that have led to high-profile assignments like 150 W. Jefferson and Parkway Corporation. His leadership has transformed the firm’s brokerage practices by integrating advanced technologies such as Buildout, CoStar, and strategic AI application, and further standardizing broker onboarding, and ensuring strategic direction through monthly meetings and performance-based budgeting.
Paul’s prior tenure at NAI Farbman saw him successfully manage over 400 transactions with a combined value exceeding $5 billion. Notable projects under his direction included the sale and leasing of iconic properties like the Dime Building, Cadillac Tower, and Parklane Towers. He also served as a primary real estate consultant for Wayne County Economic Development Corporation, playing a pivotal role in landmark redevelopment efforts like the 2018 New Justice Complex Land Swap, McLouth Steel site and the Hines Park Mill properties.
Paul’s hands-on experience extends into construction and project management, where he has overseen major capital improvement projects, tenant buildouts, and space planning initiatives, ensuring both operational and financial performance align with client goals. His strong financial acumen, built through years of financial modeling and asset valuation using tools like Argus, Yardi, and Excel, has positioned him as a trusted advisor for clients ranging from private institutions to governmental agencies.
Beyond his commercial real estate career, Paul is deeply involved in public service. As a Planning Commissioner and Vice Chairperson for the City of Northville, he has contributed to the strategic development of one of Southeast Michigan’s most notable residential projects. His leadership in crafting new ordinances, revamping old, and collaborating with local officials has helped shape the city’s growth and zoning policies.
Paul also served as President of the Greater Corktown Development Corporation, where he led initiatives to secure over $6 million in funding for key projects, including the Tiger Stadium redevelopment and the West Riverfront Riverwalk expansion in addition to building 33 new homes in North Corktown and various other streetscape and façade improvement programs. His commitment to community development and economic revitalization underscores his holistic approach to real estate and urban planning.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Michigan. He has earned numerous industry accolades, including recognition as a CoStar Power Broker and being named one of Crain’s Detroit Business “20 in Their Twenties.” His affiliations include the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Michigan Association of Planners (MAP), National Association of Realtors, and the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors.
