Mr. Burger earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a business background from Eastern Michigan
University in 1988. Prior to and since his graduation, he has worked as an Industrial Real Estate Broker specializing
in sales and leasing of properties located primarily in the Southern Wayne County Region of the Metropolitan Detroit
market area.
In 1996, at the age of 30, Mr. Burger became an individual member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors
(SIOR), one of the youngest members ever to complete the requirements for membership in this prestigious
organization. In 1997, he became an owner and equal shareholder of the firm his father, Edward R. Burger, SIOR
first founded in 1980. In 2013, Mr. Burger was elected President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burger &
Company, positions he still holds.
In June of 2024, to enhance his commitment to growth, excellence and quality service to customers and
clients, Mr. Burger created Burger & Company of Southwest Florida. With offices in Naples, Florida, this
venture is a commercial and investment real estate brokerage firm that now expands its influence on a national
basis.
Mr. Burger has personally closed over 2,600 transactions, culminating in the sale or lease of over 25,500,000 sq. ft. of
industrial buildings, and over 725 acres of vacant land. These transactions are valued in excess of $325,000,000.00.
A few of Mr. Burger’s notable leasing transactions include Build-to-Suits for Textron Automotive (80,000 sq. ft.), Nippon
Express U.S.A. (70,000 sq. ft.), and Ford Motor Company (39,000 sq. ft.). Significant sales have been to Horizon
Technology Group (77,000 sq. ft.), City of Wyandotte, (212,215 sq. ft.), Load One (42 Acres), and the investment sale of
the 5M Industrial Park in Romulus, Michigan.
Mr. Burger is the proud father of two sons, and is not only very active in their lives, but has also now welcomed his
youngest son to Burger & Company’s team of sales professionals. Mr. Burger is delighted to be a part of a thirdgeneration
real estate family tradition!
Mr. Burger is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, a State of Michigan CPL holder and a notary public.
Prior to his real estate career, Mr. Burger worked in the industrial construction industry. Due to his hands-on experience
and knowledge, he is able to offer his customers and clients a unique and valuable perspective when evaluating and
processing their real estate requirements.
